A high caliber, well-trained horse and its rider cutting a cow out of a group and keeping it under control was “poetry in motion” during the Cattle King Cutting held in Deer Lodge, Montana May 5-7. It was the first time the Montana Cutting Horse Association (MCHA) and the Treasure State Cutting Horse Association (TSCHA) combined, and it made for an exciting and interesting event, bringing riders and trainers together for high-level competition from across the country.
