The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) recently announced the winners of their annual National Corn Yield Contest (NCYC), which encourages farmers to try new methods, learn from one another, and participate in friendly competition. The competition began in 1965 with 20 entries from 30 states and has since grown to over 7,000 entrants from across the nation.   Farmers designate ten contiguous acres to plant in one hybrid variety for one entry in the competition.
