Proactive planning before, during, and after a drought was the overarching theme of the April 22 edition of the NCBA Cattlemen’s Webinar Series, titled “Defeating Drought: Rain or Shine.” The discussion incorporated the expertise of three industry panelists: Jeff Goodwin, the Program Director for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute and former Senior Rangeland Consultant for the Noble Research Institute; Bob McCan of McFaddin Enterprises, Ltd. in Victoria, Texas who also has experience as the president of numerous cattlemen’s associations; and Coby Buck, the Director of Strategic Accounts for AgriWebb who also helps on his family’s cow-calf operation in Colorado.  ...
