In episode 4, I revisit some of the lessons I learned the hard way when I experienced burnout a few years ago. One of the biggest reasons for my ultimate breakdown was because I did not prioritize the things that were actually important - I kept chasing the next big project, task, moment of achievement along with a bunch of smaller less important tasks. While chasing achievement is good, doing it without taking a moment to enjoy “getting there” is a trap we can easily fall into.
I share my thoughts on why this is such a problem in our society and why it’s so easy to be deceived into thinking that it’s a positive state of mind. Often referred to as the “rat race”, it ends up causing us to struggle to find value in anything we do and it’s a major reason for the serious discontent many people experience in this day and age.
I also give you the secret that I discovered after doing it all wrong for over 20 years… do less to achieve more. Yes, that sounds impossible, but it works - listen in to find out exactly how.
