Where should you place your reverb, delay and modulation effects pedals in relation to overdrive and distortion? We look at the options to help you decide.

In this episode we challenge the commonly accepted 'standard' pedal order and try some alternatives. We are looking specifically at delay, reverb and modulation: how they react before and after overdrive in your signal chain. As we discover, some of these pedal order changes bring subtle results… while others are very radical.
