This week, Julian Sereno has been a North Carolina newspaperman since 1985, working as a reporter and editor for The Durham Sun and The Durham Herald-Sun for 12 years and as editor and publisher of Chatham County Line for 18. He earned an AB from the University of Chicago and an MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For 30 years he was consistently first or second in buffet lines.
