John 14:1-7: This passage is the beginning of a long discourse with the disciples in advance of his suffering and death.  Beginning in John 14, Jesus lays out a plan for the future.  He begins with comfort and encouragement.  While the disciples may not understand Jesus' words fully here, they receive the promise of Christ saying, "I will come back."  Evil doesn't win. What an encouragement we too can receive from this passage of scripture!
