This episode is the beginning of a three part series on the issue of slavery in the Scripture. In this series, we will be examining the doctrine of providentialism and the theology of the Civil War. The peculiar institution still impacts us today and we are going to examine how we as Christians should respond. In part 1, we will discuss providentialism and pro-slavery propaganda that was preached from Confederate pulpits.
