In Africa, the lion cub Simba is the pride and joy of his parents King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. Mufasa prepares Simba to be the next king of the jungle. However, the naive Simba believes in his envious uncle Scar that wants to kill Mufasa and Simba to become the next king. He lures Simba and his friend Nala to go to a forbidden place and they are attacked by hyenas but they are rescued by Mufasa. Then Scar plots another scheme to kill Mufasa and Simba but the cub escapes alive and leaves the kingdom believing he was responsible for the death of his father. Now Scar becomes the king supported by the evil hyenas while Simba grows in a distant land. Sometime later, Nala meets Simba and tells that the kingdom has become a creepy wasteland. What will Simba do?

After a wild chase in the bustling streets of London, struggling computer game author Roger and his pet dalmatian, Pongo, by a welcome twist of fate, are dragged into St. James Park and meet with charming fashion designer Anita and her pet dalmatian, Perdita. Soon, one thing will lead to another, and before they know it, Roger and Anita get married, and Perdita gets pregnant. However, their short-lived joy is disrupted when Anita's glamorous but horrible boss, Cruella DeVil, dognaps the innocent fifteen puppies with the intention of making a luxurious coat with their fabulously spotted fur. Eventually, along with Perdita's, Cruella manages to bring the total to the staggering number of ninety-nine dalmatians puppies.

In 1947, Jackie Robinson becomes the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era when he was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers and faces considerable racism in the process.
In this edition of the 'Monday Special', we have special guest Cameron Stephens in studio! Cameron is the younger brother of our co-host Zach, and is a 2-time state champion playing football for the Bixby Spartans. Cameron also is working towards getting on to the Tulsa Police Department, where he hopes to then join an agency such as the FBI, Secret Service, or the ATF. Cameron is also an avid golfer, and currently works for Cedar Ridge Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Following the murder of her father by hired hand Tom Chaney, 14-year-old farm girl Mattie Ross sets out to capture the killer. To aid her, she hires the toughest U.S. marshal she can find, a man with "true grit," Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn. Mattie insists on accompanying Cogburn, whose drinking, sloth, and generally reprobate character do not augment her faith in him. Against his wishes, she joins him in his trek into the Indian Nations in search of Chaney. They are joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes. The unlikely trio find danger and surprises on the journey, and each has his or her "grit" tested.

Cameron has been an assistant football coach for the Bixby Spartans for the past 3 years, and serves as the freshmen offensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach. He has many years of coaching experience, and is one of the more promising up and coming coaches in the state of Oklahoma. He's currently finishing a degree from Grand Canyon University. On top of calling plays, Cameron is also a huge fan of WWE, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, and all the things that make you a true Jerd Nock!

For our surprise summer blockbuster, we absolutely had to go with the Steven Spielberg classic, Jaws. With a budget around $7 million, this film made over $8 million in just the opening weekend, and in total surpassed $471 million. With compelling, well-crafted storytelling and a judicious sense of terror, Spielberg's 'Jaws' has remained a benchmark in the art of delivering modern blockbuster thrills.
It's Independence Day! Let's celebrate by going to an island with a white-sand beach and friendly people. There's rumored to be a human hunting shark, but the mayor insists it was only a motor accident. Off we go!
Finally! From the inception of the podcast, we have been anticipating 'Thor: Love & Thunder', and we finally get to talk about it, and what it sets up for the MCU going forward. We also recap 'The Boys' season finale, and cover any and all news from the past week.
We end this episode with a new segment called "Would You Survive?". This is where we are given a character in a movie, and you have to explain why you would or wouldn't survive that particular situation. As our "flop" of summer blockbusters, Mystery Men bombed at the box office, not even surpassing half of their $68 million budget. With a star studded cast, and based on Bob Burden's Flaming Carrot comic, this movie was highly anticipated in the summer of '99. While first time director Kinka Usher showed glimpses of a great concept, ultimately the film fell short of budgets and expectations.
Let's host a backyard pool party, hold superhero interviews on a foldable table, team-build on the Tony Robbins fire walk, and take our unique talents of silverware hurling, bowling, shoveling, deadly flatulence, and incompetent invisibility to save the city from the interim Captain of the Black Pearl... I mean Casanova Frankenstein.

In this episode, Zach has to mention the comparison everyone made when 'Joker' first came out, which has to do with its similarities (more like copying) of the movie 'Taxi Driver'. We also make sure to cover the finale of Season 4 of Stranger Things, and make quick predictions on the direction of Season 5. By this point, 'The Boys' Season Finale has already come out, but we haven't seen it yet! We're fathers and have families, cut us some slack! We will make sure to cover that as well as 'Thor: Love and Thunder' next week.
Anyway, be on the lookout for the beginning of our 'Summer Blockbuster" movie series starting next week with "Mystery Men". You're not going to want to miss it!

You may think that this movie is the first time we see a live action Thor on the big screen, and you would be wrong. Thank the 1988 Incredible Hulk telemovie for that one. While not difficult to follow up, certainly translating the pages of wonder from comic book to cinema was quite the challenge. Fortunately, this film roped in a terrific cast, and with combining magic, technology, and myth this paved the way for this character to have over a decade of appearances in the MCU. One drawback though, the eyebrows are bad.
