Actor and journalist Marine Saint creates a wardrobe portal to literary worlds, an English Manor house with Parisian influences, and a glittering walkway through a forest of Californian redwoods…

An English and History student at the University of Bristol, Marine’s half French and half English, currently living in Durham but with plenty of family in Paris, Toulouse and Lyon. She’s acted professionally in both theatre, TV and film, playing roles in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Company and CBBC’s The Dumping Ground. Marine’s an aspiring journalist and has just been shortlisted for the ‘Rising Star’ Award at the National Student Publication Awards. Both widely travelled and widely read, Marine hopes to do a Salinger year in New York after graduation.

Her island holds a Neverland ideology: literature and reality intermingle creating boundless worlds within her island kingdom. French films, an Art museum and a magnum opus fill her time, while tranquility reigns in the form of cherry blossom, redwood trees and a Versaille-like village in the grounds of her English Manor House.
