Welcome to Couzin’s Talk where we chat about everything from current events, self-care, life experiences and social justices. We are your host, Leona and Denine. We hope that this will be an insightful and thought-provoking episode. We are so glad you're here.
In this episode, we shared our thoughts about the labels of African-American and Black-American.
We journeyed into the origins of when we started noticing the labels. Why is there a need for labels? The effects and many more intricacies of the subject. This is personal to us because Denine and I are from the same family, and we have two different skin tones. We are Blacks, (multicolored blacks). We have personal experiences of the negative effects of colorism, and we shared them in this episode.
Despite the sensitivity of the topic, as always, it was an open, honest, and thought-provoking conversation between girlfriends. Hope you love it.
