Minh and Debbie sit down to discuss and answer an email received from a Provider wishing to move into the SDA space. This newly registered Provider is looking to do both SIL and SDA, having both registrations approved by the Commission. This Provider wants to consider the benefits of moving over to Sydney from Perth (currently based), to perhaps start up a new business doing SDA primarily. He wanted to know what the best strategy is, to either source participants first or to source builders first. Debbie and Minh talk about the challenges in wearing both hats etc, and if feasible to do so either in Sydney versus Perth. There is always challenges in every startup business, and an NDIS Provider business is no different. They try to do their best given the email questions received from this Provider, and try to give some realistic answers in light of the 'request for help' in getting some direction as a start up SDA Provider.
**Response, after posting this podcast:

"**Hi. Thankyou so much for elaborating the different side of being an SDA provider in your podcast. My idea of being an SDA provider was totally wrong, now I have much more clarification of things concerning the SDA provision. I have more clarification now on what to do and how to go about the business side of things in different domains of NDIS. I have been an accountant for many years before becoming a RN and I did my postgrad in Strategic leadership and I want to utilise all my skills towards making a successful business. But I don't want to go in blind and make stupid mistakes which can be prevented easily by reading / listening and researching, thats why I asked those questions in previous email. Once again thank you so much for being such a great help and hope to talk again on some other topic. Kind regards, Muhammad."
