The goal of any business should be to make their customer/client the hero in their own story. Marketing folks will tell you to talk less about yourself and more about the client.

Ordinarily, I'd agree...but cops are a bit different. You can't just show up to teach a class and expect seasoned officers to take your authority at face value. Unless your wearing stars or bars, we're gonna wanna know what your pedigree is and why we should bother listening to what you have to say.
