This episode gives an introduction to loneliness, breaking down perceptions of who experiences it and why to take away the stigma in order to more effectively manage it as a life condition that all humans will experience at some time in their lives.

FIRST COURSE- This segment will look into the statistics of 1) who is alone and 2) who is lonely, revealing that it isn't so straightforward and requires a deeper look as we all take stock of the relationships in our lives and their variation of depth and meaning.

SECOND COURSE- This segment will investigate the ambiguous area crossing over between being alone and loneliness- defined as landscapes of "only-ness." We'll talk through what the experience is like in these landscapes, whether you're single or are surrounded by people in your daily life. We'll also discuss loneliness in the context of fear so we can better understand how barriers that contribute to loneliness get built.

DESSERT- We'll wrap up with an invitation to a virtual, empathetic community of "loners" but also offer a challenge to practice as a first stepping stone to inviting the deeper connections into our lives we all desire.
