COVID PROTOCOL for VISITORS to Our Home

While the rate of infection in DUVAL County is Extremely High (based on https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/duval-florida-covid-cases.html )

1. All members of the household are fully vaccinated and adults have received a booster.
2. All persons entering the house must be fully vaccinated. Period. If unable to be vaccinated, the unvaccinated are not allowed inside.
3. Household members wear high quality masks when outside the home: at work and school and any place we visit where humans who live outside the residence are present.
4. Hand sanitizer is abundant in the household. As are disinfectants and viricides for surfaces.
5. Merv 13 filters are changed monthly. The Hepa-filtered air purifier runs 24/7 big enough for 1200sq ft.
6. Visitors have been turned away during the omicron variant post Christmas and activity outside of school work and grocery has been limited.
7. Nationally the Omicron variant is declining, however the rate of infection in Duval County has remained extremely high. However, as a vaccinated household, the recommendations say “it’s better to socialize inside the home with only one or two other vaccinated households.”
8. Since all of us are fully vaccinated and adults boosted, I have decided to allow Family to visit.
9. To visit, you must agree to this protocol:
10. No illness or fevers or any kind of symptoms at least 5 days prior to visit, and
11. Isolate and/or wear quality mask(KN95/N95) when out amongst others
12. 2 DAYS PRIOR: At least 2 days prior to visit, schedule a PCR test, OR
13. DAY OF VISIT: Self-administer a rapid test or schedule a free rapid test.
14. PLEASE NOTE: If immunocompromised are going to be present both c. PCR and d. instant will be required.

For immunocompromised visit: All will PCR at least two days before. All Kids will submit to an instant test the day of the visit.

SUMMER PROTOCOL: WHEN THE KIDS ARE OUT OF SCHOOL, NO TEST WILL BE REQUIRED HOWEVER, NO SYMPTOMS CAN BE PRESENT 5 DAYS PRIOR TO VISIT. PLEASE NOTE: IF immunocompromised are GOING TO BE IN ATTENDANCE, INSTANT TESTS WILL BE REQUIRED

Travel protocol: PCR test 2 days before travel back to Jax and Rapid test day of return.
