This week is extraordinary as it is the kickoff for Black History Month. Usually, most people would talk about history, including slavery, Jim Crow, and the civil rights movement; however, I wanted to talk about some issues still plaguing the community today, including spending our money.

As always, I give a personal account of my finances and my journey on making better decisions to impact my immediate family and my community as a whole.
