Are you aware of any mistakes you are making currently? Do you do anything about them? How do you respond when someone points out your mistakes and will you take action to fix it? We should be aware that when someone points out your mistakes, it is simply referring to those mistakes and not you as a person. Seek feedback; the highlights, the good and the bad, don't just wait for unsolicited advice. With some cultures and some people, failures or mistakes are embarrassing and a sign of weakness, so they don't admit to them and rather become defensive. Unfortunately we see this behavior in government settings due to legal consequences or when one makes a rather big mistake. We should pay more respect to the ones who own their mistakes. Failure is not falling down, failure is not getting back up. We all make mistakes. That is okay, not fixing them is the mistake. The best way to know about your mistakes that you don't know is to ask others, not self reflection and self awareness, after all you see the world through your own glasses.
