Miscarriage was something I never thought I would experience. It's also not something that I knew a lot about. It is a topic that, for generations, has not been discussed very much. I think we are doing better as society than ever before, but it's always been kind of taboo. No one should feel obligated to talk about it - it can be super personal and vulnerable. But for those who maybe feel isolated in their pain, or feel like they shouldn't talk about it, I hope we can do even better about creating space and a comfortable environment so that anyone can feel like sharing is a real possibility.
Today's episode has a few purposes:
I hope that for those who haven't experienced miscarriage, that it can help remove some of the unknowns or offer some insight into what a miscarriage is like (as this was not something I knew a lot about beforehand).
For those who have experienced miscarriage, I hope this episode can help you feel possibly a little less alone in your experience or encourage you to share your own personal experience.
And for everyone, please remember that your hard is hard ❤️
