002 - Colin and Megan Leeson are experienced DIY tiny house dwellers living in Brisbane, QLD, in what they call the "Serenity Tiny House". They have lived in their tiny since late 2019.

During this time they’ve added a shipping container that Colin has set up as a woodwork shop, called “Serenity Woodcraft” and has been taking on a few small jobs as a hobby.

In this conversation we talk about:

  • The 3-part process of their tiny build
  • How Colin and Megan created and designed their tiny house plans (including which software they used)
  • What kind of trailer they built their tiny home on and why they chose this option
  • How they found land to park their tiny home, how much rent they pay, and why it’s important to build a relationship with your land-owner and local community
  • What they love most about living the tiny way of life
  • And much more!
