Welcome to this episode of Peace After Combat with licensed clinical psychologists, Dr. Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour. Today we're going to be discussing Rhythm Restoration which is a therapy created by Dr. Tiffany.
Rhythm Restoration is a spiritual protocol aimed at bringing peace and restoration to painful life experiences, and to begin the journey of living the abundant life God has called us to.
It has been less than a decade since our culture began to unravel the stigma associated with mental illness. In that time, few have combined God’s Word and psychology to offer a faith- and science-based protocol to help the mind heal.
Simply put, God created us – body and spirit together! Our bodies function through a complex series of biochemical and electrical reactions that we can learn about and understand through science! Doctors and scientists endeavor to physically understand what it means to be human. Theologians, clergy, and philosophers may try to understand the human condition through the lens of God’s revelation, and/or the study of the mind. We see a complex, yet ordered universe and God’s hand sustaining it. Separating creation from the Creator, or visible from invisible realities is impossible.
Rhythm Restoration is about disconnecting from our preconceptions and letting the Holy Spirit speak to us. It is about accepting God’s wisdom and knowledge; then taking control of our thoughts to shift our focus from what hurts us, to Who can heal us.
With Jesus Christ at the center of our life, we can confront emotional hurt by using a combination of RHYTHM for soothing, BILATERAL STIMULATION for psychological digestion, and positive VISUALIZATION for the re-scripting of painful experiences to, in essence, rewire our minds to live abundantly!
