Chris is a bit of a unicorn among bike racers. He has all of the credentials to be a tech-obsessed racer (an advanced engineering degree in aerodynamics), yet his riding is based in passion and desire. I was able to get him to spend a few minutes discussing the technical side, but his race stories are rooted in reality. You'll hear of his world championship (note the use of lower case) title that he still holds.
