To keep you 'on track' do you have a cheat day or cheat meal?
Chances are if you answered yes, this is doing the exact opposite and will be slowing down your progress each week.
The reason being you will not care about the amount of calories in that day which will take you in to a surplus for the week.
Start managing your food intake by tracking your intake.  If it is measured it can be managed!
This way you will stop putting 'cheat' labels on your food and realise there are no 'good' and 'bad' foods, only foods higher and foods lower in calories.
Balance is key to sustainability in this sense, so make some room each week within your daily allowance that will allow you to have the higher calorie foods you enjoy more but stay within the deficit.
Your progress will accelerate this way!
