What a book. What an experience. What a joy to read. I enjoyed every word, every story, every page in Minfong Ho’s book ‘Journeys’.

13 short stories, 200 pages, and a few hours spent curled up in the sofa – totally immersed in this book.

Rather than reviewing the individual stories I have chosen to focus on the tale of the Overseas Chinese. An interesting and surprising story to me. Heartbreaking and life-affirming at the same time.

And boy can Minfong write!
