In the Book of Proverbs, you meet with sentences of brief wisdom, which, to all appearances, belong entirely to this world and pertain to the economy of the life that now is. You also run across sentences that are completely spiritual in nature. They aren't ordered or categorized. Instead, the worldly is mixed with the spiritual, which is how we are to live our lives. Our spiritual life isn't to be reserved just for church or during our prayer time and our worldly actions aren't to be devoid of the spirit. We are to be one person, both spiritual and worldly that honors and serves God. The book of Proverbs is a perfect example of that mix. Join me in reading Proverbs 14 and be encouraged!
