Mary Elizabeth “M. E.” Yancosek Gamble is an associate professor in the College of Business and Aviation at Fairmont State University. Immediately before she was chair of the Performing Arts Department at Fairmont, and before that, she was chair of Business, Communications and Media Arts Department at Bethany College. In 2023, she received the Faculty Recognition Award from Fairmont State University. In 2018, she was named Bethany College’s nominee to the Faculty Merit Foundation's annual Professor of the Year. In 2017, she was the Scripts Howard Fellow for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Arizona. In 2015, she was named "Educator of the Year"​ by the West Virginia Public Relations Society of American (WVPRSA) and her Department won the coveted "Chapter of the Year"​ in 2012.

She is the 2013 winner of the President's Award for Excellence in Performance from Bethany College, and was named “Faculty Member of the Year" from the Bethany College Service Learning Center. She was one of fourteen finalists in the 2013 T. A. Abbott Award for Faculty Excellence and was nominated by Bethany College to the U.S. Professor of the Year sponsored by CASE, and the Carnegie Foundation.

Before teaching at Bethany she was the state director of the Small Business Division of the West Virginia Development Office. Before being named state director, she was the Small Business Developer for Loudoun County, Virginia.

A native of Washington, Pennsylvania, she has a BA from California University of Pennsylvania, an MA from Marshall University (WV), both in communication studies, and post-graduate work in organizational communication from Bowling Green State University (OH). She is currently pursuing her EdD in Innovation and Leadership at St. Francis University(PA).

She began her career teaching at Bethany College (WV) and at Washington & Jefferson College (PA). She has been Executive Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Wheeling (Jesuit)University (WV), and Director of Marketing for Cafaro Company (OH) and Crown American Corporation (PA).
