- Trade – Unfractionated Heparin
- Class – Anticoagulant
- MOA – Acts on antithrombin III to reduce the ability of the blood to form clots, thus preventing clot deposition in the coronary arteries.
- Indication – ACS, acute pulmonary embolism, DVT
- Contraindication – Predisposed to bleeding, aortic aneurism, peptic ulcer.
