In episode 24, I talk about course creation on Udemy and how that fits into your funnel strategy.
Can Udemy really fit into your funnel strategy?
Yes, it has a place. Use Udemy to build an audience. It can be especially good if you have little or no audience.
If Udemy sells your course, you earn 50% of the revenue. If you refer people to your course and they purchase, you earn 97% of the revenue.
So refer where possible, but build into your course a path for the student to get into your Facebook group and/or email list.
Your goal is to get your audience into traffic you own (your email list). Ultimately, an email list is how you own the traffic. And Facebook Messenger bot, among other things, is a good vehicle to get your clients to your email list.
Your funnel building software still has its place. You can use it to direct your clients into your mid to high value ladder offers once you have them on your list.

Insight #10 touches on course building and separating your time from your income. I also talk about the mindset of an entrepreneur and going from 0 to 1x in your business.
Creating a product around this concept in my business would fall somewhere in the bottom to middle of my business' value ladder. Episode 9 covers how the truth hurts.
Insight #9 is the truth about selling. The truth about selling hurts if your a software engineer. But your business needs a good marketing team, someone who can sell and if you're lucky a rainmaker.
As much as the truth about selling hurts, especially if you're a software engineer, it can be freeing to finally accept it. The truth is related to the fact that in order for your income to be separated from your time, you need to be good at selling.
And if you're a software engineer, there are only a few scenarios where you can separate your time from your income; otherwise, the business you're with may view your skill set on some level as a commodity.

Episode 8 covers two concepts, your giving your little voice too much power and stop absolving yourself of responsibility.
Insight #8 is set your mind straight. Too often, we let our inner voice drown out our ability to stand tall and be heard. See how I started addressing that.
Also, stop cutting people down and hating on their successes. That's hurting you! When you cut people down you're coming up with excuses for other people's success and in turn, excusing yourself from taking responsibility for your failures.
