Over the past few months it has become more clear the importance of who we give platforms, whose voices we choose to amplify, and how we should use the platforms that we have. America is a land rife with celebrity worship and idolization however it is time for that to come to an end. We should not wait for celebrities to tell us how to feel or what to think but instead recognize the power of our own platforms and use them effectively.
