On this episode, we speak to CAST!

CAST is a multimedia artist and entrepreneur. Originally from the Bronx, he first started uploading music at the beginning of Soundcloud era in 2014. He writes, produces, and engineers all of his music in addition to directing and editing his visuals. He released a self-produced, 21-track album before graduating high school. His last project was in 2018 with “thE Pavement”, a 5 song EP with a music video to each song, all edited by him before finishing college. Since then, he’s released 15 non-album singles, 4 music videos, and performed at over 40 shows, including one at the United Nations this year. He’s also hosted secret parties at undisclosed locations across the city, where he’s premiered unreleased music. Despite a small discography, his music has generated 200k streams across all platforms - half of that on Spotify alone. He is the founder of Illo, an all-things-creative company that houses his ventures in arts administration, design, and event production.

On this episode we speak on the origins of hip hop in NYC, the inspirations behind his singles, and his new feelings towards collaboration.
