OK, today's episode is courtesy of a conversation I had with my cute wife, Becca. During the recording of this, it's Becca's final week as a high school English teacher. She's done this job (fantastically, I might add) for 10 years, and is now stepping away to pursue some of her other talents. Specifically writing novels.
In her final week of teaching high school students she taught them a lesson on the difference between fitting in and belonging... and I wanted to share it with you because I believe Movement Leaders are called to "gather" their people, serve them, and keep them safe. A huge part of that is giving them a place where they feel they BELONG.
I think Becca got a lot of her information from Brene Brown, so if you want to dive deeper on the subject, you might want to look into her materials.
Hope this helps you today as you create your groups and structure them in a way that those you are called to serve feel that sense of belonging.
