Turns out I've been thinking about success all wrong. And in a super toxic way too.
Especially for an entrepreneur/artist.
See, as an artist or entrepreneur we often judge success by external measures. How much money did this make? How many people watched it? How many ticket sales did it generate?
Yes, we want to make an impact, but impact is not necessarily measured by numbers.
One of my favorite characters is a guy who ended up being a martyr. Just before he's burned burned at the stake he sees one guy stand up for him and he's immediately chased out by armed guards. He probably went to his grave feeling like he was a failure, yet his testimony changed the entire history of the rest of the Book of Mormon. The guys name: Abenadi. Cool story. Look it up.
Today, I'll share a different story as well as three new "success measurements" I look at when looking at whether or not today was a successful day or not.
Also, you'll note I've got a new show closing. I've got some new technology on my website where you can actually talk back to me. Send me a voice message. Let me know what you liked or didn't like about today's episode.
If you really want to make progress... take today's episode to heart and share back via voice message what your crazy dream is... or what "The Voice" is telling you to do. Love to hear it. You'll gain power as you speak it.
