This week I'm taking a break to move and won't have a "This Before That" episode.
Instead I want to share the little known story of the Christmas Eve Fire of 1894.
In the little town of Silver Lake, Oregon around 200 people gathered to celebrate Christmas. As the festivities were in full swing a tragic fire swept the building. This is a story of devastating loss, heroic individuals, and how one town worked to pick up the pieces of a shattered community.
Due to the nature of the episode it may not be suitable for young audiences.
