The camera, now attached to our phones, has become a part of daily life. But let's go back to an era of black and white photographs; a time when old Pioneers, Civil War Generals, Cowboys, and Presidents sat stone faced in front of a new fangled technology.  No longer did someone have to sit for hours or days to have their portrait painted. This has to be the greatest invention...or did that invention come nearly 100 years later?
