Because of the dangers associated with the heat and rugged environment, the National Park Service recommends that hikers check in with people when hiking in the Grand Canyon. The dangers and trials of the canyon do not dissuade people from going, any more than trials and tribulations should discourage followers of Jesus who are journeying with Him through life.
