Challenges are common.  The temptation to quit is common.  It's not uncommon however, for people to quit because the building blocks of success are not sexy- they usually involve a lot of monotony, repeating the same processes until mastery.  Winners know how to take the bitter taste of boredom or disappointment and sweeten it and even sell it as a nice glass of lemonade.  

Ask Queen B who actually made an album delineating how she took lemons an made lemonade.
