This is the term that our Theologic hosts use to describe an external Christianity but not a truly saving one and not truly a genuine one. As J.C. Ryle notes, "A religion that costs nothing is worth nothing. A cheap Christianity without a cross, will prove in the end a useless Christianity, without a crown."
