The book of Ruth opens with Naomi and Ruth destitute and grieving but ends with Boaz showering blessings upon them. Likewise, we start life sinful and destitute but God notices us and Jesus romances us into a relationship with Him that ends in Him showering blessings upon us. Ruth starts the book with no future, but because she fully trusted the God of Israel, she is gifted with a future heritage that is more than she could have imagined. Boaz does things the right way just as Christ does things the right way.
