Trying to feel better about wrong thinking is the mental trap of addiction. This practice fosters anxiety and stress since chronic conflict cannot be re-solved no matter how many ways we try to outthink it or think running "head-on” into compulsions can escape “it’s-grasp”. What we insist on resisting will persist. Thinking we're not doing what we're doing creates a major inner conflict and emotional turmoil. Getting better at doing what is wrong is unhealthy, unnatural and dysfunctional.
We cannot let go of what is essential since it is our essence. And will not let go of what we think or claim we are not doing. The pressure caused by thinking what is happening is not happening, is depressing for good reason. Feeling guilt and shame are accurate consequences of this circular line of twisted reason.
Reality existed well before the first human thought and delusions don’t exist no matter how hard we think. The dis-solution of obsessive thoughts is like any problem. Once a problem is seen accurately there is no conflict to overcome or compulsive need to try to prove wrong is right.
Dis-solution is not re-solution and requires no re-solve to dis-solve problems at their core. The world, the universe, and life never become problems simply because we think of them inaccurately. The problem with problems is thinking what we think about them is right when we're wrong.
There is no stereotypical shape, color, size, or texture that can be attributed to predict addiction. Anyone can be impacted or affected by it. Many who are addicted don't think they are - especially since addiction is an addiction to thinking, and what we think of our-self - or ego. There is though one common hallmark shared by all types of addictive behaviors. It is an unwillingness to learn from experience.
We're here to talk about it so that you can better under and why it is happening and what you are doing to help enable it or solve it.
Thanks for your proactive participation by listening - and talking about it more openly
