Just over a year after we recorded our first comprehensive plan episode from a book published in 2000 we returned with authors David Rouse and Rocky Piro to talk about their latest book The Comprehensive Plan: sustainable, resilient, and equitable communities for the 21st century. This book is a great read for emerging planners, but also fills the gap in literature for seasoned planners looking for guidance on how to improve sustainability, equity, and resilience in their own plans.

  • The PAS Report, Sustaining Places Best Practices, that was mentioned in the beginning of the episode as the foundation for this book
  • An article on planning for health that was a topic mentioned on the episode
  • We mentioned an earlier episode also on comprehensive plans called Community Planning
  • Get a copy of the book at Routledge Press.
