Adult voices form the way kids see themselves, and in the classroom, this can directly influence the way they see themselves as learners. Carol Dwek's work in the growth mindset space is huge for children and was the main driver behind me writing my illustrated novels about The Super Weirdos. Alien secret number 1, 'Never give up! Never surrender!' is designed to give kids and teachers a tool to use when the going gets tough.
