In most cases, boundaries are met with resistance, as they’re perceived as being mean or selfish, but this is untrue. Boundaries are meant to protect and give us a sense of control over our lives. There’s no shame in looking out for yourself, especially when it means that it will eventually put you in a better position to help others.
