Minecraft is the most popular game ever with nearly 240 million copies sold since its release in 2011. A blog post on the Minecraft website declared that, in order to maintain its egalitarian goals for the game, it was banning the sale of NFTs, from the servers it owns or controls.

This is a very interesting debate whether or not developers or gaming studios should allow NFT capabilities for the betterment of the game. There are arguments for both sides especially if the world's biggest game thinks that it will go against its vision.

The video game company Epic Games thinks otherwise as the founder and CEO, Tim Sweeney, said he won't follow that action.
