According to a publication on the Office of National Statistics (ONS) website, a government agency in the UK, it is said that the most common ground (facts proven) for opposite-sex divorces for females and males petitioning for over 40 years was unreasonable behaviour. (Divorces in England and Wales 2021, release date 2 November 2022)

Unreasonable behaviour could be anything from lack of affection to domestic abuse and everything in between. These reasons have increased the divorce rate across the country as well as in other parts of the world.
