Since having our second son I've suffered scary and intrusive thoughts. I hid them in as I didn't want to be judged or for others to be scared of me. In this podcast I delve deeper into my personal experience with post-natal anxiety and my depth of the suffering. I hope this chat helps others who experience the thoughts that have come through my mind. A friendly reminder that we all have a mind of its own sometime, but it doesn't have to lead to actions :) Make sure you to seek a professional if you feel any of what I speak about the podcast challenging. In this solo podcast I explain why I'll be taking a break (including a big update in our personal lives) and letting you know we will be back in September with not one, but two podcasts.

Two years ago I walked in to a mental health clinic after reaching breaking point.I was scared when I walked in the doors and when my wife drove off it really hit home.In this podcast I discussed the fact my life was at breaking point and how investing in myself changed my life.Over the next month I went to a mental health clinic and went to an external specialist. Both of these places cost money. That money was an investment and an investment which paid much more than money in return. In return I saved my relationship and married the love of my life.In return it gave me the strength to manage through finding out I was infertile, going through the IVF process and having our first child together. In return it gave me skills to manage my emotions much more frequently so I didn’t harm friendships. In return it gave me lots more composure playing sport. In return it allowed me to work through many challenges that arose in the past two years. In return I found an understanding that true happiness is internal and yo stop chasing it from external sources (I find so many of us do this and external sources can change daily and a lot of the time we can’t control that, but we can control ourselves)With that, I wish for you that as we head in to Christmas and 2022 that if you need help that you reach out and take the hard path to find the internal happiness you deserve. The investment financially and hard work is more than worth it 🙏Follow PSV hereInstagram- Power & strength (@power_strength_vulnerability) • Instagram photos and videosFacebook- https://www.facebook.com/powerstrengthvulnerabilityTo support the podcast please purchase a journal from here https://powerstrengthvulnerability.com.au/product/journal/

Nick’s story…"Where to begin?! I guess the best place to start would be to explain a bit about where I’ve come from.I am what’s considered to be a “lived experience” practitioner, meaning instead of taking the conventional scholastic route to becoming a psychotherapist, I went to the “school of life” and my initial teachers were my mistakes.I was medically discharged from the Armoured Corp in the Australian Army in 2002 with a permanent knee injury along with anxiety and depression. I had been training hard because East Timor was just kicking off and as a recon soldier based in Darwin, we were going to be first cabs off the rank to go and calm things down a bit. That’s when my knee blew out, and it all started spiralling downhill from there. The operation I had was not successful, meaning the rehabilitation I did had no real effect. I was on crutches and in a knee brace for 3 months, then on restricted duties until I discharged. "In this podcast we only touched briefly on his time in the army and the trauma around his childhood. This podcast was all about how as Nick can help people who have mental health issues or mental illness. In the chat there is a huge amount of information which you can take away and put in to practice. We chatted about the most effective way to help the kids of today. If you want to support this podcast, please subscribe, share, review or like.Merch available- Shop | Power, Strength & Vulnerability (powerstrengthvulnerability.com.au) MyndFit- MyndFit

Andrew Moloney was a boy with a dream. That dream of being a world champion has had set backs right from the start. Andrew lost his first 7 amateur fights and when most would give up, he kept working hard and he kept dreaming. In this podcast we talk about the mindset it’s taken to achieve those dreams. Andrews first love of boxing started when at age 10 his Christmas present was some boxing gloves. There is so much great information in this podcast for anyone who has a dream or who has had setbacks. Andrew talks about the boundaries he needed to set for himself, how he has managed social media trolling and the sacrifices himself and his amazing wife Chelsea had to make for his career. Andrew is one of the mostamazing kind, caring and compassionate human beings I’ve met. This was recorded eight days before his redemption fight against Josh Franco. This shows the kind of bloke he is and I’msure that has a lot to do with the work he has done with @qualitymindglobal in the past 12 months. Andrew always had the physical capabilities to be a world title holder but in the last 12 months since his first professional loss he asked for help with his mind. Listen in to hear how Richard at Quality Mind Global has helped Andrew step up his game in the ring and the amazing impact it’s having in his day to day life. https://www.qualitymindglobal.com/ Richard and the team don’t just help athletes- they help anyone and if it’s good enough for a world champion, it’s good enough for anyone. Thanks to Andrew for taking the time out to chat and I know many will find this podcast helpful in their day to day life.If you want to support this podcast, please check out the instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/power_strength_vulnerability/Website- https://powerstrengthvulnerability.com.au/podcast/ Sponsorship and clothing available to help keep these great stories who help many people come to life.

I woke up one morning and I thought my jaw had dislocated and was hanging down around my sternum... as I went to bring it back up with my hands I realized my mind was playing some really wild tricks on me.Three hours later I fainted in to the wall at home.I was coming off my anti-depressants and it was the most challenging three weeks of my life to date. Before listening- I do not think anti depressants should be banned. They have a place but I feel the time and the place rarely matches up with the client's individual needs. This podcast is based off my experience and speaking to many hundreds of people in the mental health field....Please do not go off anti-depressants without being mentally stable, having a super support network around you and without slowing down the expectations internally and externally. Please speak to those around you, and do research before going on anti-depressants.Matt Runnalls from Mindfull AUS would love to hear from you.Mental Health Workshops - Mindfull AusOne of the major factors for coming off anti-depressants after 12 years was the work I'd done as a client at MyndFit - feel free to reach out and book in your discovery session. If you want to help this podcast continue, please jump on this website Shop | Power, Strength & Vulnerability and purchase some merch. Steve grew up without a father figure in his life... All he wanted was to be there for his kids when he had them but slowly he was becoming more distant with them. Despite trying to learn what not to do from his own dad, he was following in his foot steps. It was when he was watching the video from Wayne Schwass at the late Danny Frawley's funeral that something clicked in him. Steve went for a walk and had uncontrollable tears going on... Steve felt like Wayne was talking to him and knew he had to change. The path of destruction Steve was going down was one which looked like a grim ending, but in that moment he had a choice. 1. Keep up the coping mechanisms and lose touch with his kids or 2. Ask for help.... Steve asked for help and you can listen to how here.As mentioned above- here is the link to the video with Wayne Schwass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnhvd5i_r3A Steve White's business https://www.facebook.com/Journeyman-Coaching-101803165130562 https://www.instagram.com/steve_journeymancoaching/ If you want to help support this podcast, please jump on to the PSV shop and buy some merch... all money goes back in to the podcasts or is given to charities. https://powerstrengthvulnerability.com.au/shop/If you are in need of some help, please reach out to Steve. Thanks to MyndFit who help people to become mentally fitter, stronger & healthier by training the mind to think differently. Everyone has mental health and mental health issues can hit anyone.
It did with my brother at the age of 28... My brother was a guy who was felt things like stress and fear but until an incident in 2018 he hadn't ever experienced mental health issues.
It all started when a stray nail hit his eye (above the skin).... Listen here to see how he worked his way through the physical health and mental health issues that arose and how he continues to work through them

"It's not your fault it happened, but it is your responsibility to do what happens next"
A young inspirational mum of two young kids who opens up on a lot of struggles.
Drugs, alcohol and bullied all before the age of 15...A father who left before she could walk...Being uprooted and taken across the world to live and only finding out that it wasn't a holiday when it was too late.
There is much more Alisha and I discuss.
Alisha Hill talks about a life of moving around from house to house, school to school.
Hear how Alisha turned it all around by taking resposibility and now runs a successful fitness and transformation business and is the mum to two beautiful kids and owns the flaws, the strengths and aims to empower many other women.

Thanks to Moneyquest Camberwell for sponsoring the podcast. What you see is not what you always get? On a stats sheet, most would be envious and Aaron is grateful for the career he had. Drafted in the Rookie draft at #34 in 2011, Aaron went on to play 98 games and kicked 33 goals for North Melbourne and Carlton. Aaron got a Rising Star nomination and was awarded in the best 22 Under 22 in 2013. Despite this, it was not always sunshine and lollipops. In this podcast I speak to Aaron about growing up with two brothers who excelled in sport and we break down what sacrifices he needed to make to reach the AFL. We speak about the peaks of his best games. What a lot of people may not know is Aaron later in his career suffered crippling anxiety and we discuss how he did try to manage it and Aaron gives his advice on what he would do differently. If any of this trigger you, please reach out or call lifeline on 13 11 14Thanks to moneyquest Camberwell - https://www.moneyquest.com.au/franchise/camberwell/If you would like to support what I am doing, please just up to my website. https://powerstrengthvulnerability.com.au/shop/
Peter talks about some childhood trauma which included alcoholism and a rough early upbringing which was his normal. DISCLAIMER- Suicide, drugs, alcohol are all mentioned in this podcast, please be aware and make sure you are in a good head space to listen to this or have someone around you, and call lifeline if you need it 13 11 14. Outside of the home life, "I lived a really great life" playing sports and had great mates. At the age of 13, Peter got the chance to meet his bioligical dad. That was what he thought, until the DNA test came through. Here how it all panned out and the ramifications for not talking and sweeping things under the carpet. Thankfully, Peter at 29 is taking accountability for his actions and his unhealthy habits, and working on his mental health. Bottling things up for so many years meant Peter turned to drugs and alcohol as an escape which pushed people away and it's the loss of the mothers to his kids which has made him realise that he must take action for his kids and himself going forward. Peter isn't just working on himself. Peter has lost two good friends to suicide and we speak about these two amazing men who were lost to the silent killer. This podcast is dedicated to these two young men- Jake "Fitzy" Fitzsimmons and Michael Sherry. Peter will be riding to Adelaide to raise awareness around mental health with these two guys heavily in his heart. https://www.facebook.com/pg/Petes-Ride-to-Radelaide-100844934882236/posts/?ref=page_internal Here is the link for the page. Ryan Hassan joined me from The Centre for Healing. Warning- "mention of suicide and drug use" Ryan was in a heavy spiral of drugs and reached a point where the choice was either death or jail or get help. Before that; He critiques me live on my first practice session doing Root Cause Therapy. Here how I went, as I did my first ever session on my teacher. I may have made the teacher cry, which in this instance was a great thing. Maybe I have a future in helping people with root cause therapy? Ryan and Mel run a successful root cause therapy business, along with teaching the modality to others who now use it to help people. Ryan speaks about being in jail, being heavily reliant on drugs and over dosing every second day. Ryan struggled with anxiety from Grade 3 or 4, but back then Ryan thought it was normal. Root Cause Therapy allowed Ryan to go back to the childhood memories that affected him. Those memories as adults don't seem like a big deal, but as a kid they are huge and that emotion and those feelings stick with you and cause a belief system in you. Listen and find out more about therapy and be inspired on how Ryan turned his whole life around. Nick and I met in a mental health clinic....As we grew individually, we grew together. Sharing our struggles, being open about our fears, strengths and weaknesses. Both of us had so many differences but so much brought us together as mates. Nick opens up about a very difficult childhood which much of it was suppressed due to the trauma. Parents who were drug users and alcoholics. Nick walked out to grab something at the age of four only to find his mum had passed away. "I went back to bed, because I didn't know what to do" Nick was banging on the door in the morning until someone heard and that was the final memory of his mum. "That was the start" Nick's biological father was given an ultimatum to get off drugs which lasted three weeks and then Mark (Nick's dad to this day) was given custody of Nick. Mark had a great impact on Nick's life, great school, great friends, great family and excellent sporting opportunities. Nick's biological father died when Nick was 10 years of age. That's a lot for any child to go through, and it ended up catching up with Nick. Tune in to hear how it all changed and now what Nick is doing to change his life around to help others and help himself. I'm proud to call Nick a friend, and he has always accepted his wrong doings are his wrong doings. Taking responsibility is a huge thing and will hold Nick in good stead moving forward. If this triggers anything for you, please call lifeline on 13 11 14Disclaimer: drugs, suicide, addiction, depression and anxiety are all mentioned in this podcast.
My cousin has inspired me time and time again over my life. Teaghan is 16 and has an amazing girlfriend. Teaghan let her parents know she was interested in girls a couple of years and we chatted about how that conversation came about and whether there was any scrutinity or bullying. That to me is brave but in the midst all of this, Teaghan found out she had beaten cancer. A long battle with leukamia at a young age that she fought with guts and determination. Listen to this podcast to hear about the inspiring person, I am proud to call my cousin. We also speak about her love for cricket and football. It was 12 hours until I was admitting myself in to the Victorian Clinic for mental health. 12 months of internal pain and suffering which caused me to react in anger. Depression had well and truly taken over for myself, and Alicia (My fiance) copped it on a regular basis. Screaming matches were a regular account. Here us speak about these fights and both of our thoughts on me entering a mental health inpatient facility for the near future. If any of this podcast effects your mental health, please get help or if you're in immediate danger- please call lifeline on 13 11 14 You are not alone.
Chris Capuano is brave and has opened up on his battles. There is genuine emotion as I speak to him and his wife Betty about some of the mistakes along the way. One mistake was an attempt to make more money for the family so he didn't let them down, which almost landed him in jail.
This is one story you will want to listen to as Chris did what so many males do when they battle mental illness and mental health troubles.

During the chat, we had a laugh but also took to the serious side of being a comedian and constantly chasing work, writing new material and trying to balance life. Even never suffered any mental health problems until recently he suffered what was later realised as anxiety and stress. He felt as if the whole world was racing by him and he was in a trance, all while he was on holiday. This was a great chat and Evan is a great man. Suicide is more than just an action
After attempting to take my own life at 21, I remember a mate saying "there is plenty more fish in the sea" referring to a relationship break down I had.
The relationship was just the trigger for the attempt of my own life.
It was the eight years prior that led me to that point.

Ash also chats about attempting to build a house at a young age, which ended up being sold without ever living in it.
The whole long drawn out court battle led to panic attacks.
