Professor Elizabeth Denney-Wilson is a leader in her research field. She is a passionate advocate for the principles of primary health care and preventing and managing chronic disease, particularly overweight and obesity across the lifespan. In this episode, Elizabeth describes how she manages her role at the University of Sydney with the many projects she is involved in across five universities and the Local Health District. In the past year she has also taken on a role with the Sydney Vaccination Centres and was recently appointed to a World Health Organisation Guidelines Committee for the early prevention of child obesity. Professor Denney-Wilson does all this while staying connected to her community as an active member of her rowing club. She shares her insight and advice to aspiring researchers and emerging health professionals.
