In the previous lesson, James warned those who were oppressing others about the coming judgment. In this section, he returns to that same reality - the coming judgment. But he addresses the church and uses the coming judgment as a source of encouragement. 

One day, Jesus Christ will come again. He will rescue his people from those who oppress and persecute them. All that is good in your life will diminish in the glories of heaven. All that is bad in your life will end. God will put an end to injustice and evil. 

Considering that reality, God’s people should live and wait patiently. The reason we can be patient is that God has shown himself to be faithful. He will, without fail, keep his promises.
