Ephesians 1:15
I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe.
Happy New Year to all of you. It is my hope and prayer that this year 2022 will be the best year ever for each and every one of us. As we shake off all of the unpleasantness of 2021 we give thanks to Almighty God for the opportunity to be alive, in good health and strength, with our families and friends around us to take on a brand new year, full of divine opportunities.
Jesus came into this world to bring us a lot of things not only salvation, the forgiveness of sins, peace, joy, love among others but He also is the source of our hope.
What Is Hope? (https://www.aconsciousrethink.com/12500/why-hope-is-important/)
'Hope is the closest thing to trust.
As the late Desmond Tutu once said:
‘Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.’
Why Is Hope So Important?
Hope whispers, “Things will get better.”
Hope is a source of energy. It helps us to see something better up ahead and to put one foot in front of the other to move forward.
Hope is the opposite of despair.'
JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF OUR HOPE
John Chandler is the translator of this hymn.
1 Jesu, our hope, our heart's desire,
thy work of grace we sing;
Redeemer of the world art thou,
its Maker and its King.
2 How vast the mercy and the love
which laid our sins on thee,
and led thee to a cruel death,
to set thy people free!
5 Jesu, our only joy be thou,
as thou our prize wilt be;
in thee be all our glory now
and through eternity.
We give God thanks today and every day for Jesus the source of our hope.
