on a long winding highway
Looking for something more
Chasing mirages as before
I kept telling myself
Hope is just down the road
But life was drifting away
I didn’t know the way

I went about life 
pretending all is normal
But I kept dreaming
beyond this familiar door
of something more 
than the crumbs lying on the floor

Then He came
One who calls every star by name
He said 
He knows my name
I am not a random in some garden
I came from Heaven's garden
He loved me first 
before anyone ever could
In His book
My days are covered
The hairs on my head numbered
And my life story colored

The world wonders what’s up
I am not afraid to trip up
My heart is lit up

He knows my name
Rested in His embrace
He leads me to a new place
