Every person alive experiences grief over the loss of someone or something that is significant in our lives. We grieve the death of a loved one or friend. We grieve the loss of a relationship through divorce or other separation. We even grieve over the loss of a job and the acquaintances we formed on that job.

This episode exams Elizabeth Kubler-Ross' pioneering research on the stages of grief, plus additional understanding about grief discovered since her work. While she correctly identified the main stages we experience as we grieve, we seldom process through them in nice sequentially packaged stages. Instead, the grief process has been described as a rollercoaster, waves, or the tornado of grief. Whatever model you use, there are ways to get through the process. We share some personal experiences to highlight how to BE More comforted in grief.
