I met James last night at a presentation I gave. He is 12 years old and dreams of becoming an engineer. I shared with him the story of Rick, who I met 30 years ago. Rick age 14 then, also wanted to become an engineer. He would be the first in his family to attend college in 3 generations. This episode highlights Rick's path from a 14-year old boy dreaming the impossible dream to become an engineer to becoming a vice president in engineering for one of the most recognize names in the world of manufacturing.
I hope this episode inspires the youth--and those who work with youth--to prepare to let their professional dreams work.
